Building New, Modern, Steel Frame Staircase, With Wooden Steps

Part 1

Part 2

The old stairs were all wood, had a steep slope, and after many years they were so very noisy and crackly. The new ones have a steel frame, wooden steps out of oak, a gentler slope and a more robust and high quality construction and finish. Everything was a “do it myself job” by me all alone. It took 7 days to clear and renovate the hallway, 4 days to build the metal frame and 3 days to install the new steps.
