Not all people are created equal and not all friendships are created equal.<\/p>\n

Below I will try to describe three types of friends, each reaching to acceptable or excellent standard to a greater or lesser extent.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The first and the weakest type, are friends of interest, in which people associate for the sake of external or material benefits. An example would be a group of friendly entrepreneurs promoting each other’s work.<\/p>\n

The second type is pleasure friends. These companions share the same interests and sense of humor and only generally enjoy each other’s company.<\/p>\n

The third and highest type are friendships based on values (of Good). Each participant in such a relationship loves the other not for what he can get from him, but for his character. There is mutual admiration between them. Such friends go side by side toward a common noble purpose. They inspire each other to be better and together they tackle tasks that make them so.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Friendships of interest and pleasure are not, per say, bad; indeed, both dynamics are included in the friendships of the Good and the delight and affection are especially essential in a relationship. But friendships based solely on interest or pleasure are incomplete.<\/p>\n

Such friends tend to be less durable. The friendships of interest end when the participants no longer need something from each other. Pleasure friendships evaporate when pleasure evaporates – either because the circumstances that facilitated the good times change, or the feelings of a “honeymoon” novelty simply evaporate.<\/p>\n

But values-based friendships create a bond that lasts over distance and time. For where two or more together pursue the Good, they create something greater than themselves – something excellent, even eternal.<\/p>\n

Sure, there are also imaginary friendships, caused by mental disorders or social networks, but their volatility devoid of substance has to be dealt with elsewhere, on another occasion.<\/p>\n

Primul tip \u0219i cel mai slab sunt prietenii de interes<\/strong>, \u00een care oamenii se asociaz\u0103 de dragul unor beneficii externe sau materiale. Un exemplu ar fi un grup de antreprenori prieteno\u0219i care \u00ee\u0219i promoveaz\u0103 reciproc munca .<\/p>\n
