ISS upcoming events

  • Sun 16-Nov 17:05 UTC
    17:05 RSØISS - SSTV activity

An SSTV event on the ISS is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 12 november, 2025 around 17:30 UTC and will have two breaks due  ARISS school contacts. SSTV activity will end on Wednesday 19 november, 2025 at 14:50 UTC.

The ARISS Series 30 images of 12 images wants to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ARISS activity. The first ham radio contact with the ISS and RV3DR (Energia), NN1SS (NASA GSFC), and W5RRR (NASA JSC) was made on November 13, 2000. The first ARISS school contact with the Burbank school was also made on December 21, 2000.
Some of the images highlight the amazing work that Scouting does!

The SSTV broadcast will be interrupted for 2 ARISS school contacts on:
16 November from 14:30 UTC to 15:05 UTC,
18 November from 10:05 UTC to 10:30 UTC.

This will impact the availability of APRS on 145.825 Mhz. The SSTV transmissions will be made using the amateur radio station in the ISS Service Module. The transmission frequency will be 145.800 MHz FM, (+/- 3,5 kHz Doppler shift) using SSTV mode PD120. The ISS callsign will be RS0ISS.

To support everyone interested in such events, the European Space Agency released tutorials about how to receive pictures transmitted over amateur radio by the International Space Station: you can find them on

    https://www.esa.int/ESA_Multimedia/Videos/2020/07/How_to_get_pictures_from_the_International_Space_Station_via_amateur_radio

You are invited to upload decoded images in the ARISS gallery, at: https://ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV/ Once you've submitted, just clicking on the dedicated button you can apply for the official ARISS SSTV award.
